The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families has developed and delivered pioneering mental health care for over 60 years.
Our aim is to transform current mental health provision in the UK by improving the quality, accessibility and effectiveness of treatment.
We believe that every child and their family should be at the heart of the care they receive, working in partnership with professionals.
Our vision is a world where children and families are supported effectively to build on their strengths and to achieve their goals in life. We will continue to promote resilience and wellbeing in children, young people and families, as we have for over 60 years. All of our work is guided by 3 principles
- Children, young people and families are at the heart of everything we do.
- We are committed to discovering and sharing the best way to help children, young people, families, carers and professionals affected by mental health problems.
- We aim to strengthen our impact through collaboration and partnership.
The Youth Wellbeing Directory aims to allow young people, their families and referrers to quickly learn about services in their local area, and make an informed decision on which services would best meet their needs. The website also provides a selection of useful mental health information and resources for young people.
